Bruce Logan ASC (x180-081)

It’s always such a profound honor when I get a guest like today on the show. This week we have ASC cinematographer, director, producer and now colorist Bruce Logan. If you’ve watched Zacuto’s “Revenge of the Great Camera Shootout 2012” then you know that Bruce was the guy charged with creating the test for the cameras. Today we get some juicy behind the scenes details, as well as some sage advice from this professional with nearly four DECADES worth of experience in the biz.  You may be surprised at what he has to say about what it means to be a “cinematographer” as well as his take on education.

This show is co-produced by Dan Rollins of LiveWire Films.

Feature film cinematographer Shane Hulrbut (“Act of Valor” and “Terminator: Salvation”) is back on the show. Today Shane talks about the how and why of measuring for focus (aka “running a tape.”) Don’t forget to check out Letus, makers of DP Shane Hurlbut’s Master Cinema Series.
