Scott Simmons on Crossing the 180 #108

Scott SimmonsCan you imagine the ability to edit in just about every NLE known to man? Do you think you could jump back and forth from Premiere to Final Cut Pro X to Avid as easily as you change channels? Well this week on the show we have veteran editor and Video Coalition contributor Scott Simmons to talk about how he does that, and so much more. Scott’s projects include music videos for artists major artists like Taylor Swift, Natalie Grant and Mercy Me; national brands like the Krystal restaurant chain; major universities; and much more. Funnily, we hooked up because he jokingly tweeted  about my FCPX show with Chris Fenwick as an “FCPX love fest.” So I reached out and invited him on the show to offer his perspective on FCPX, Premiere and other editing tools. We also get into the business of editing and the problem of creatives to always go after the newest and greatest, even before it’s tested.
